Eco Montessori Nursery is a family-run nursery offering a unique experience for children aged six months to four years. With two small settings, in Winchester and West Tytherley, we provide a safe, nurturing environment where children thrive.
The nurseries follow Montessori principles blended with Eco and Forest schools, encouraging independence, curiosity, and a love of learning. Carefully designed activities help children develop key skills in practical life, sensory exploration, language, and numeracy. Passionate staff guide each child individually, respecting their natural growth and interests.
Sustainability is at the heart of Eco Montessori. Children engage in eco-friendly practices such as gardening, recycling, and exploring natural materials. This fosters a love for nature and helps them become mindful global citizens.
Both settings feature thoughtfully prepared indoor and outdoor spaces designed to inspire creativity and exploration. With its family-focused ethos, every child receives personalised care and attention.

A Day in My Life at Eco Montessori Nursery!

| 8:00 am – 9:00 am: Welcome to Eco Montessori! | When I arrive, I get cuddles and say hello to my friends and the teachers. If I arrive at 8am I always have a healthy breakfast at Nursery - yummy! |
| 9:00 am – 9:30 am: Quiet Time | If I’m feeling sleepy, this is when I can snuggle up and have a little nap or read a story with my friends. |
| 8:30 am – 10:30 am: Montessori Play Time Inside and Outside! | This is my favourite! I get to play with all sorts of fun things. I love exploring the garden, touching messy stuff like shaving foam, and diving into sensory baskets with shiny, soft, and crinkly treasures. |
| 10:30 am: Snack Time | Mmm, it’s snack time! I sit with my friends and enjoy a tasty treat. |
| 10:30 am – 11:45 am: Montessori Play Time Inside and Outside! | More fun! I get to play with toys, explore, and maybe even paint with my hands. |
| 11:45 am – 12:00 pm: Small Group Time or Out for a Walk! | The teachers do something special with just a few of us—so exciting! |
| 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm: Lunch | I sit down for a delicious lunch with my friends. |
| 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm: Quiet Time/Sleep Time | After lunch, I relax or have a nice nap. It’s cosy and peaceful. |
| 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm: Montessori Play Time Inside and Outside | More exploring, laughing, and fun! I might even try something new today. |
| 4:00 pm – 4:30 pm: Tea Time | I sit down for a little tea and feel all refreshed. |
| 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Goodbye! | It’s time to say bye-bye and head home. I can’t wait to come back again tomorrow! |
Eco Montessori Nursery Winchester
Eco Montessori Winchester Day Nursery is located at St Johns Hall, St Johns Street, Winchester, SO23 0HF. We are a family run, small home from home nursery, offering an early years setting specialising in Montessori methodology. We integrate the EYFS and Montessori curriculum in the children’s daily life at the nursery.

- Open from 8.00am – 6.00pm, 51 weeks a year (except Public Holidays)
- 47 nursery places on a full or sessional basis

You can use your EYE government funding for children aged 9 months the term after their 4th birthday.

Eco Montessori at Norman Court is in a beautiful, rural setting in West Tytherley, SP5 1NH. Registered for 60 children, we are an early years setting specialising in Montessori methodology. We integrate the EYFS and Montessori curriculum in the children’s daily life at the nursery.
